From Products to partnership there’s a new era at Theroom2bloom.
When I first launched my website a few weeks ago, there was an option to fill it with all sorts of products. For a moment, I considered finding items on Amazon, listing them on my site, and ordering them whenever someone purchased. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel authentic — and authenticity is something I deeply value.
Then, a new idea bloomed. Instead of stocking random products, why not reach out to people who create beautiful things that truly align with the spirit of self-care? Makers whose work carries heart, intention, and meaning. I could invite them to share their creations on my site, not just as “products,” but as part of a shared project, a collaboration.
As I thought about what might be suitable, I asked myself: what do I personally love to do when I’m taking care of myself? That’s when I realised the answer was right there. I’m drawn to the “soft girl era” things — wax melts that make a room feel cosy, journaling that soothes the mind, flowers and pretty touches that lift the spirit, and little things that make my soul feel calm and cared for. These are the things I’m passionate about. These are the things that fit with the Room2Bloom ethos, and I believe they’re the kind of treasures that may appeal to you, my readers and supporters.
Right now, my little corner of the internet is small. We might not sell much straight away. But that’s not really the point. This is about community, connection, and creativity. Together, we can support one another, inspire fresh ideas, and perhaps even make a few new friends along the way.
And if anything, it will be a really lovely step for the creators of these beautiful products to be able to say: “I’ve got someone who believes in me, supports me, and showcases my work.” For us, we’ll be able to say: “We have a stockist” — and that in itself feels good, empowering, and worth celebrating.
And I know for sure that whenever a friend, family member, or even someone random in a Facebook comment asks me if I know someone who sells a certain something, I’ll be the very first to put your name forward. That’s the kind of ripple effect I want to create. 🌸
It would also be wonderful if we had creators from all sides of the globe. I’ve already had a lot of interest from America, and it would be lovely to feature someone who’s happy to ship there too. I’ll admit — I don’t know much about shipping yet, but these are all things I’ll encounter, explore, and learn about in the coming weeks. It’s part of the journey, and I’m excited to see where it leads. 🌍✨
Even if nothing sells, something richer might be growing: a network of people who care, create, and nurture — just like Room2Bloom itself.
So, this is the next step on my journey. And who knows? Maybe it will become something beautiful that we can all grow together. 🌱✨
