The Saturday Night Club: A Community That stays Together
What I’ve been working on launching October 🙌
Hi lovely people,
I’ve been thinking a lot about connection lately how vital it is, how much it heals, and how much it keeps us going when life feels heavy. I know firsthand what it’s like to feel isolated, like no one really gets what you’re going through. That’s exactly why I created the Saturday Night Club. By the way it doesn’t have to be on Saturday night 😝
I know that many neurodivergent individuals, as well as people with BPD and other mental health “stuff”, or even the shy ones of our community often face challenges navigating social situations. Some people find it hard to go out on a Saturday night, meet new people, and have fun, which means they may feel like they miss out on parts of their youth and social lives.
This group is designed like a youth club (I say youth but I mean 18-300) a Saturday night club where we’re the cool kids.
It’s a space where people can relax, laugh, and be themselves without pressure. You can bring whatever makes you comfortable — a glass of wine, a cup of tea or milk, snacks, or just yourself. You can have your camera on or off, or even just type instead of speaking if that feels better. The goal is simple: to create a space where people can just be, feel included, and enjoy the company of others who understand them, maybe when we grow we can do quiz nights etc.
To help these connections grow beyond our meetups, I’ve created a private Facebook group and WhatsApp chat exclusively for members. This allows people to continue conversations, build friendships, and feel supported during the week. It’s about creating a community that doesn’t end when the meetup ends. A place where support, laughter, and connection continue all week long.
To keep everyone feeling connected, I also share a weekly newsletter. It’s a small touchpoint to share what we’ve done in the club, offer tips, and provide updates a gentle reminder that you’re part of an ongoing community. On top of that, there’s a weekly 20-minute check-in for anyone who wants it, giving a small handhold and a chance to share how you’re feeling between sessions.
The goal of the Saturday Night Club is simple: to create a space where people feel empowered, seen, and heard. A place where I can cheer you on, share my experiences, and walk alongside you through life’s challenges. A place where you can laugh, build confidence, make friendships, and leave feeling lighter at the end of the night. Like you’ve done something even if you haven’t left the house (which for me is a thing)
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join in. Share this blog with anyone you think might benefit — friends, colleagues, or anyone looking for a space like this. The more we grow together, the stronger and more vibrant this community becomes.
This is a place where you can show up as you are, have fun, find support, and know you belong. A little youth club magic for grown-ups — but we’re the cool kids now.
